The Story of 2026 Finalist Unified Track
Tackling the Student and Financial Costs of Chronic Absenteeism
When students begin to fall behind, schools need the ability to identify what is happening and respond before it is too late.
That insight inspired Dustin and Gabrielle Bainbridge to create Unified Track after seeing firsthand how overwhelmed counselors were and how easily students at risk could slip through the cracks without timely, actionable data. They also recognized that chronic absenteeism creates a significant financial challenge for districts, with attendance patterns directly affecting funding.
Unified Track is a K–12 revenue intelligence and student success platform that integrates with district SIS systems to identify attendance patterns, surface risk factors, and support earlier interventions. By combining predictive analytics with counselor workflows, the platform gives educators more timely information to understand which students may need support and how to respond.
At the district level, Unified Track also helps quantify the financial impact of attendance patterns and identify funding that may otherwise go unrealized. This gives district leaders greater visibility into the resources connected to student attendance while helping counselors focus their efforts on students who need attention.
By connecting student support with financial insight, Unified Track is helping districts address chronic absenteeism from both sides: improving outcomes for students while helping schools recover resources that can be used to support their communities.
